SYNOPSIS
The documentary My Name is Jacque addresses the diversity through the life story of Jacqueline Rocha Cortes, a Brazilian transsexual woman who has been living with AIDS for 21 years. Militant for the cause, Jacque has her life marked by struggles and achievements, becoming a representative of the Brazilian Aids social movement, government and afterwards of the United Nations. Now married and mother of two, Jacque lives in a small town, leading her life dedicated to motherhood and family. By tracking Jacqueline’s daily reality and revisiting her history, this documentary shows the numerous challenges that have been disrupted by this extraordinary character, raising awareness on prejudice, homolesbotransphobia and gender identity.

ANGELA ZOÉ
She is director and producer at Documenta Filmes. She trained in Clinical Psychology, and is a specialist in Contemporary Philosophy and a professor of Clinical Psychology. He also graduated in Production Engineering from COPPE / UFRJ. She is also a professor of Clinical Neuroscience at the University of Barcelona. As director, she has produced series on education for UNESCO and films on women’s rights for UNAIDS. He has currently released the documentary HENFIL, winner of 8 prizes. He also currently directs the telefilm ELE ERA ASSIM: ARY BARROSO, exhibited on the MusicBox channel and two other documentaries shown on CineBrasilTV
