BIO DIRECTOR
Elvey Anna Stedman (b. 1998) is a visual artist based in Glasgow. She graduated in 2021 with a Fine Art degree from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. She has received the Alastair Smart Memorial Prize and the RSA John Kinross Scholarship.
Her work explores themes of fragility and impermanence, focusing on human relationships with the natural world. Using sculpture, printmaking, and stop motion animation, she creates a personal visual language influenced by folklore.
Stedman has written, directed, and animated two short films: Gold Ground (2024), her first formal film project, and Annie (2024), a commissioned music video, both made with hand-cut and hand-painted paper shapes.
