In careers related to cinema, the presence of women is equal and sometimes higher than that of men. What happens then when the students finish their degrees and face the professional sector? The reality is that the number of women who continue in a management role is decreasing, dealing more with the production area. This is reflected in the lack of projects led by women that are presented for state and regional aid. And in general in the lack of women directors at festivals and in movie theaters.

Given this situation, the ATHENEA PROGRAM has been considered, a project promoted by the Dona i Cinema Association, sponsored by the Valencia City Council Youth Delegation and financed by the Equality and Inclusive Policies Delegation.

WHAT? The ATHENEA PROGRAM aims to promote the talent of young directors (AMAZONAS) in the final phase of their university career or recently graduated, through a series of personalized tutorials with experts from the sector (ATHENAS), in order to guide, advise and enhance the viability of your projects.
