Maite Gil
Theater, film, and TV actress. Trained in prestigious national and international schools, she began her career in theater before moving into audiovisual work. Nominated for Best Leading Actress for AGUA and awarded an Honorable Mention at the Oniros Film Awards for GPS. Recognized in theater, winning Best Actress in Peñíscola for Yo, Isabel la Católica and in China for Los cuadros flamencos de F. G. Lorca.
A polyglot (Spanish, Valencian-Catalan, English, and French), she has performed in operas (Orfeo, I Medici, Il Casanova), films (Costa, Voleuses, Eiffel, The Summer House), and TV (Mano de Hierro, Bosé, Los herederos de la tierra, La novia gitana, La red púrpura).
Founder of Xarxa Teatre and Visitants, she gives lectures on Lorca at the Instituto Cervantes in Rome and Florence while touring Italy, Spain, and China with Los cuadros flamencos de García Lorca and El Amor Brujo.
Currently engaged in filming the fantasy sci-fi movie BÛNAN, in which she plays a leading role.
Cristina Abril
Born in Barcelona, she began her professional career in the music industry as a Road Manager and Tour and Concert Producer in Catalonia.
With nearly thirty years of experience in the audiovisual sector, she has created, developed, and produced fiction and documentary content for Canal+ Spain, Telecinco, Antena 3, TV3, TeleMadrid, TVE, Canal 9, and À Punt Mèdia, among others. She currently lives in Valencia and, at the helm of her production company Saó Produccions, creates, develops, and produces content for television and platforms.
Former President of the Valencian Association of Independent Producers (AVAPI) 2020-24. Full Member of the Valencian Academy of Audiovisual.
Silvia Di Marco
Silvia Di Marco is co-director of Olhares do Mediterrâneo – Women’s Film Festival (Lisbon). She joined the Festival in 2018 as a programmer and became co-director and executive producer in 2020; currently she coordinates the programming (films and parallel activities) and industry programme, and is responsible for the project ” Olhares do Mediterrâneo with Eurimages for Equality”, financed by the Council of Europe Fund for European Cinema (Eurimages). She has been a jury member at international film festivals (Some Prefer Cake, Italy; Porto Femme, Portugal) and was part of the pre-selection team for the Lab Med 2022 feature film residency at Meditalents (France). Silvia received a PhD in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Lisbon with a dissertation on the epistemology of medical imaging. She was a researcher at the Centre for Philosophy of Science of the University of Lisbon (CFCUL), from January 2009 to December 2024. Her current work and research interests cover women’s representations and participation in cinema, intersectional feminist theories and intersectional feminist epistemologies. She has worked on image in science and art, and on different topics in the philosophy of life sciences. She has published several articles and book chapters on the epistemology and aesthetics of medical images.

Pilar Pérez
Born in Alicante, she studied Image and Sound at UCM and the TAI Film School. She began her career in film production and joined Canal+ in 1993 as a production director, excelling in award-winning documentaries and special programs. She also managed production for the San Sebastián Film Festival Galas and the Código Plus series.
In 2000, she joined Produce+ (Grupo Sogecable), working on productions and co-productions. Since 2003, she has directed and produced documentaries such as Universo Hip Hop and Mil y Una Lolas. In 2007, she founded TRANSIT Producciones S.L., producing Murales (Seminci, New York), Las Maestras de la República (Goya 2014), and La defensa por la libertad.
She recently directed the documentary series Sorolla for TVE. She is a professor at Universidad Carlos III, president of ACCIÓN (Spanish Film Directors Association), and a member of the Spanish and Valencian Film Academies.
Majo Siscar
Journalist with 15 years of experience in Europe and Latin America, covering violence, drug trafficking, migration, and the Colombian peace process from an intersectional perspective. She has written for The New York Times ES, Newsweek México, El País, eldiario.es, 5W, El Temps, and Animal Político, as well as working as a radio and TV reporter.
She studied journalism at UAB, holds a master’s in Latin American Studies (UNAM), and a postgraduate degree in Human Rights (Ibero). Her work has been awarded the 2019 Memorial Joan Gomis Prize (#SexSymbols), the 2017 Manuel Alcántara Award (Colombian peace process), and the 2011 European Award for Excellence in Journalism (women imprisoned for abortion).
She was the communications director for CineMigrante (Barcelona) and a scriptwriter for Lo de Évole (La Sexta) and Terres de Cinema (À Punt, Best Documentary Series at the 2021 Berlanga Awards). She also wrote the documentary ¿Me vas a gritar? (2018) and the book Tremendas, luchadoras latinoamericanas (2019).
Rose Kowalski
Rose Kowalski began making films about twenty-five years ago at Central Saint Martins in London, winning awards from both the Arts Council and Film Council of England for innovative art and film production. Based in Spain since 2001, her career has encompassed all aspects of production and postproduction, including multi-award-winning BALOMANIA ‘24, BANCOCO (Best Doc. London Independent Film Awards ‘23), and DÚO (Best Direction Málaga IFF ‘22). Rose began Horizontal Films Media in 2023 with a focus on rebellious fiction and creative documentary. In 2024, she was selected for the AccióProducció mentoring program by Dones Visuals & Catalan Films.


Leticia Montalvá
Graduated in Audiovisual Communication and holding a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Content and Formats, I began working in production in 2010. I have worked in all fields and formats of audiovisual production, but I specialized in stop-motion animation. In 2020, I joined Pangur Animation as a partner and producer. We have produced the short films The Inner Life, Becarias, which was nominated for a Goya Award in 2024 and won the Berlanga Award, Pietra in collaboration with Sardinha em Lata (Portugal) and Poland, and Carmela with Foliascope (France) and Mansalva Films.
Monique Bastiaans
Monique Bastiaans, a visual artist, was born in Belgium and lived in the Netherlands until 1988, when she moved to Spain.
For decades, she has paid homage to nature, concerned with ecological issues and the loss of biodiversity. Her tribute has evolved into a call to action.
Both her monumental installations and her ephemeral interventions emphasize vitality and energy. She introduces playful elements into everyday landscapes, creating such an intense connection that they blend together.
She is known for her work in public spaces and nature, including both ephemeral creations and permanent sculptures. She has completed commissions for municipalities and public buildings. Since her first solo exhibition in 1982 in Utrecht, the Netherlands, she has exhibited in numerous biennials, galleries, venues, and museums both within and outside of Spain.

Heidy Romero
Heidy Isabel Romero Paredes Polo holds a degree in Communication Sciences with a specialization in Film (CENEVAL, 2000). A theater actress since 1998, she has 10 years of teaching experience at the Universidad del Valle de México, where she taught courses such as Professional Ethics, Art History, Theater, and Communication Psychology. Since 2016, she has been involved in cultural management and film exhibition, standing out as General Coordinator of the International Festival of Cinema with Alternative Media (FICMA) and in projects linked to indigenous communities to promote visual culture.
In 2021, she took on the leadership of the FICMA_MX Showcase, a platform dedicated to promoting Mexican productions made with alternative media. In 2023, she coordinated the Neuromante Forum, a parallel event to FICMA focused on the intersection between technology and audiovisual media. Additionally, she has over 20 years of experience in audiovisual production as the Operations Director at ExpVisual Filmmaking and Photography, a company she co-founded.
