SINOPSI

Un curtmetratge sobre la invisibilitat de la violència domèstica. Mentre observa pel·lícules en Super8 sobre el que semblava una idíl·lica vida familiar alemanya en la dècada de 1960, l’àvia de la directora, Rose, descriu la realitat de viure amb un marit violent. La pel·lícula reflexiona sobre com les imatges poden ocultar veritats doloroses i com es poden reescriure les narratives familiars per enfrontar el trauma i buscar la sanació.

BIO DIRECTORA:

ANNIKA Mayer is an editor and filmmaker based in Berlin. Annika studied editing at the Film University Konrad Wolf and holds a PhD in social anthropology. In 2019, she co-founded Majmun Films and developed numerous documentaries. She is the producer and (co)editor of LA ESPERA, PRIMER PAQUETE PARA HONDURAS and LO QUE QUEDA EN EL CAMINO, which have been screened at international festivals (including IFFR, Visions du Réel, Guanajuato International Film Festival, DokLeipzig, Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival, Docs Against Gravity, Dokfest Munich, DocAviv, among others) and won several awards (including the German Cinematography Award). She is currently producing and editing the documentaries MAOMI, CARAVANERAS and THE GODS MUST BE MISTAKEN. Her debut as a director, the documentary HOME SWEET HOME, premiered at DokLeipzig in 2023.
