Production director, Bea Villanueva graduated in Audiovisual Communication and Advertising in 2014. In mid-2015, she completed a master’s degree in series production and direction, as well as a production program at the New York Film Academy.
She began her professional career in the film industry in 2015, working as an assistant director on the series Vis a Vis, one of the Spanish series with the greatest international reach. In 2016, she started her career in 2D and 3D animation, joining Hampa Studio in the production department and standing out for her work on Memorias de un hombre en Pijama, Black is Beltza, and various series such as Cry Babies and Vip Pets.
In 2019, she served as Producer of the feature film Buñuel en el Laberinto de las Tortugas, a worldwide successful film awarded at events including the Los Angeles Film Festival, EFA (Best European Film), 2 Annecy Cristals, Goya for Best Animated Film, candidate to represent Spain at the Oscars for Best Foreign Film, and the Platino Award for Best Animated Film.
Bea has worked as production director on several prominent audiovisual projects. Between 2024 and 2025, she led the production of Paris & Pups, and in 2022, she held the same role in Metazells. During 2021 and 2022, she was production director for seasons 1 and 2 of BFF. Between 2023 and 2025, she coordinated the production of El Tesoro de Barracuda, and she is currently working on Chica y Lobo, which is in production. Additionally, in 2021, she participated as a producer in Mironins.
