DEBATE – ERASED MEMORY, REBUILT MEMORY

We debate with Libertad Zanón, a photographer from Catarroja who lost everything during the DANA, and Laura Oliver, an audiovisual conservator involved in restoring films damaged by the flooding. We will discuss the loss of collective memory erased by the mud and explore strategies to recover and reinvent it through art and community.

Screening of the short film “Lo Posible” by Bebe Pérez.

This event will be streamed online.

Libertad Zanón Delgado has been a photographer since the age of 14. Her passion for capturing the essence of people and special moments has accompanied her throughout her life. More than just a profession, photography is her form of expression, a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. In her quest to perfect her technique and artistic vision, she has explored the world of advertising and professional photography. But her camera has also been a mirror, an instrument to better understand herself and connect with her inner world. She has worked in newspapers, advertising agencies, and photography studios, learning from the best and developing her own style. She believes in photography as an art, a universal language that allows people to connect with one another. An image not only conveys information but also emotions, memories, and dreams.
