Producer, journalist, and cultural manager, Andrea Gautier has worked in audiovisual communication and as an equality advisor in the office of the Minister of Culture, González Sinde. Since 2012, she has directed Smiz and Pixel, producing audiovisual content in fiction and documentary. She participated in the Berlinale Talent Campus (2015) and the Visitors Program (2025), and has presented projects in other industry platforms such as Doc Corner at Cannes, Mafiz Málaga, and the Guadalajara International Film Festival, among others.
She has filmed in Morocco, France, Germany, and Mexico. Her films include Malpartida Fluxus Village (Best Documentary, Alcances 2015), Tánger Gool (Seminci 2015), and Rebeladas (Mexico-Spain co-production, 2023), premiered at the Morelia Film Festival. She has produced more than ten short films and four documentary feature films supported by ICAA, TVE, Ibermedia, and Canal Sur, screened at festivals such as Warsaw, Tokyo, Málaga, and Seville, and broadcast on TVE, Movistar +, Filmin, SBS Australia, and Telemadrid.
In fiction, she co-produced La Vida Era Eso, nominated for the Goya Awards 2022, and in September 2024, she released El Aspirante in cinemas as the main producer (international premiere at the Warsaw Film Festival and National Award at the Atlántida Film Fest).
She combines her work as a producer with teaching at various educational institutions in image and sound, and film from a feminist perspective (Complutense University and Autonomous University of Madrid; Escuela TAI: IORTVE; among others).
