Documentary short film | 3’15’’ | Poland | XXXX
DIRECTOR: Kinga Chomać Piechota
PRODUCER: Magdalena Szymków
SYNOPSIS
A nostalgic, found footage style experimental film based on home movie archives. A short parable in which the narrator, going back in time to her childhood, wonders whether she deserved the love of those closest to her, including her father. The home movie archive is a memory resource, an unparalleled journey through time and a record of the protagonist’s emotions. The film is a poetic reflection on whether we are defined by our gender and its importance in relationships, especially family relationships. Is what shaped us in childhood still available to us or is it passing away in the fleeting vapours of memory and longing?
