SYNOPSIS
A love story told in the first person by Emilio Barreto, a man who spent thirteen years in jail during the time of the military regime of Alfredo Stroessner. He was never tried for any crime.

BIO DIRECTOR
Cris Arana (Caaguazú, Paraguay, 01/04/1985) began writing and directing short films in 2018 and she is currently working on her first feature film. “Emilio Barreto: Angels and Demons” is her fifth short film as a director and her first documentary, after the narrative shorts “Y agua en guaraní” (2022), “Transition” (2019), “Workingay” (2019) and “Package” (2018).
